Saving money with Scottish Power Business
Like all other business suppliers you can save additional money on your bills by choosing from some of these options:
- Paying a fixed amount each month via direct debit or standing order
- Undertaking energy efficiency measures via their SMART pack (although you don’t need to be a customer to access this information)
- Choosing to manage your account online via their self serve website where you can enter your meter readings to ensure your bills are accurate and have dedicated sign in options for members of your staff. You’ll also be able to view all your bills online and actually pay them by debit card if you haven’t set up a direct debit
Range of tariffs
Like the other energy companies normally you’ll be signing up for fixed electricity and gas prices for at least one year and have the option for 2 or 3 year contracts. There are a range of tariff types you can choose from including:

- All off peak tariff

All tariffs come with a fixed standing charge each day which ranges from 25p to 55p per day.
For larger businesses there is the option for signing up for their data services so that half hourly data is fed back to Scottish Power and you can view the raw data or key graphical data online. This means you can view and analyse your business energy consumption figures in real time site by site providing you with information to reduce your consumption and thus your bills.
The option for green energy is also available and if you want to go down this route which won’t incur a higher price then you’ll be exempt from the climate change levy.
