Who Are United Gas and Power?
United Gas and Power have been supplying commercial electricity since 2013. They are an Ofgem-regulated supplier offering services to small, medium and large UK businesses. Their website has several pledges, including a commitment to reducing carbon footprints with renewable electricity. However, this raises questions about authenticity when looking at their overall fuel mix.
They have teamed up with the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust and fund the planting of a new tree for every new customer signing up for a new electricity contract.

Ofgem Fines United Gas and Power
In 2023, Ofgem issued United Gas and Power a fine of £2,111,798 following an investigation opened in 2020. The investigation found serious breaches that included deliberate overcharging of customers and failing to return credit owing to former customers. The average customer was overcharged by £2,000. United Gas and Power have since issued an apology to their customers.
